As our 8th grade students prepare for 9th grade, we have some dates scheduled to assist with the registration process.
The West High School counselor will visit DMMS to do presentations on February 5th (Minneopa) February 6th (Sakatah) during science classes.
The West Parent Information and registration night is on Monday, February 9th at 6:30 at West High School. For more information about the EXPLORE test, you can click here: http://www.act.org/explorestudent/
Students will be registering for classes during study hall time on February 12 (Minneopa) & 13th (Sakatah).
Akshat S. was our DMMS champion for 2014-2015. The top 100 students from Minnesota will compete in April in St. Cloud for the opportunity to be the state champion and represent the state of Minnesota at the National Geography Bee in Washington D.C. Good Luck Akshat!
Penny War Success
Students at DMMS participated in Penny Wars the past two weeks. Money raised went toward purchasing items for the local Sharing Tree. Students raised $1,482.37. Thanks to all of you who participated in this great cause. We were able to to buy presents for 50 students this year! Your dedication goes a long way and we truly appreciate all of your hard work.
3D Glasses in U.S. Studies
Students on Mahkato Trail used 3D glasses to learn about life at war for a soldier during the Civil War.

Ground Broken at DMMS for New Addition

Spelling Bee On January 22nd, DMMS held its annual
Spelling Bee. Sarah Q. was our winner this year. The runner-up was Joy P.
Sarah Q. now has the opportunity to participate in the
Regional Spelling Bee at South Central College in February.
If she is fortunate to win that competition,
she will be able participate in the national spelling bee.

On January 6th , DMMS held the third school-wide drawing for showing PRIDE. Students have received PRIDE slips throughout the beginning of the school year.
Today Mitchell E. from Mr. Hebeisen's Homeroom was the big winner. Mrs. Zimmerman was the staff winner!
